1. Christmas Greeting. Souvenir from the Holy Land.  5 x 7 in. Pressed flowers from Immanuelfs Tomb. Poetry on the reverse.   20-30

2. Penny Dreadful. Hall of Fame, probably unsigned Howard for McLoughlin, both are 7 x 9.5 in. Woman: gAs neat as she is beautifulh, and Man, gYoung Reprobate, Not worth the powder to blow him uph. The pair, 40-50

3. Embossed blank, 3x4, with applied lace paper, paper springs, and four colored wafers, in the style of Howland and early Whitney, but unsigned. Inside, motto, gYour Pictureh printed directly on to the blank. 15-25

4.  gWith All My Loveh.  Gilt letters on a stiff lavender heart, image of a seated blonde-haired child holding a bouquet of violets. Unsigned, approx. 5x5.5.  Slight crease, lower right, does not tear the surface. 15-25

5. Greenish heart, scalloped border, with gold writing, gMy thoughts are of Theeh, features a gray-haired gentlewoman in lavender dress with white ruffle and cap, in 18th century style. 3.5x4, slight damage. 5-15

6. Set of three scalloped red hearts from the same maker. Two are 3.5x3.5, with colorful images of young women, and one 3x3, with little Dutch girl holding a heart. Smaller one is signed, M. Greiner, gMade in Germanyh, and: gPainting Only Copyrighted by International Art Publishing Coh.  15-20

7. Five assorted cards, with blank envelopes, from 1940s and 1950s, representative of a familiar era, and worthy of use or to save. Four Hallmark and one Gibson, to Mother, Husband, Mother and Dad, Dad, and Grandma. 5-10

8. Two mechanical cards, 3.5h wide, both sent to Gertrude. Boy in boat folds down, girl holds heart at her chest.  Second folds down to show boy holding girlsf arm so she wonft slide away, but right into his heart! 8-10

9. Two mechanical cards, 3.5h wide, one is a duplicate gslideh card, as the one in above lot 8; second shows old-fashioned auto driving through a heart. Seated couple, the driver wearing goggles.  10-15

10. Delicate Lace blank, embossed Wood, front only, with separate green backing page. 5.5x3.5. Fine openwork, cameo embossing shows bucolic couple at the bottom, beside a fence with lute and flute. At the top, a couple being drawn in a shell boat, by swans, angels, and sea nymphs. Within the central cartouche, a watercolor painting of a bouquet of flowers. Slight separation to the lace, left middle area.  Lovely to frame. 35-75

Note below, that many are gunsigned, McLoughlin-styleh. This company often sold boxed Valentines, with the identifying number sometimes appearing only on the outside of the box. By comparing blanks, it is believed the unsigned ones are probably also McLoughlin products.

11. Unsigned, McLoughlin style, elaborate three layered card. Topped with silver lace, showing the face of a sweet child, with floral and angel scraps. 5x7. 20-50

12. Unsigned, McLoughlin style, elaborate three layered horizontal card. Topped with silver lace, showing the image of a snowy home, with floral and angel scraps. 5x7. 20-50

13. Signed on reverse with gGh, symbolizing the G-pricing system of McLoughlin. Elaborate three-layered card with a delicate gfeelh, shows the face of a young lady, and Cupid riding upon a dove. 4.5x7. 25-75

14. Unsigned, McLoughlin style, two- layered card. Blank is pink and green, topped with image of mistletoe and a vignette in a crescent design, giving a very modern graphic design. Appealing, shows some wear on the back. 4.5x6. 20-40

15. Unsigned, McLoughlin style. Elegant embossed blank, adorned with fine lace. In the central area, a ladies hand holds a bouquet with the image of a Pug dog. Scraps of roses, and one saying, gTruthh. 4.5x6.  30-50

16. Unsigned, McLoughlin style, three-layers. The top is lace, adorned with four scraps of the playing-card devices, heart, diamond, spade, club, and two lovely angels. In the center is a large image of a white kitten amid tulips.  5.5x8.  35-75

17. Unsigned, McLoughlin style. Elegant embossed blank, adorned with fine lace, slight missing lace at upper left corner. A floral scrap is positioned beneath the lace, and a delicate scrap of a fairy or cherub in the center. Bordered with small motto scraps: Love and Truth, Remember me, and I am Thine. 3x4.5 15-25

18. Unsigned, McLoughlin style. Elegant pink and gray embossed blank, with a gold and white designed layer, and adorned with urns of delicate lace. An oval of fine lace is pasted on an orange oval wafer, and a round one at the top, is centered with a silver blossom. The central design seen through an opening is a stream with a bridge or aqueduct. 3.5x6. 15-25

19. Two unsigned, McLoughlin style. Elegant embossed blanks, adorned with floral scrap One, 3.5x5, says, g Forget me noth, the other, 3x4, gO keep me in thy memoryh. Printed messages inside. 10-15

20. Wedding Congratulations. Art Deco-era card on textured stock, 4x5.5. Charming illustration of a pair of lovebirds within a decorative circle, with scrolling flowers, all painted in pink and blue.  8-15.
